The Mirabaud BaselHead offers the eight crews two starting options – in addition to the classic long-distance race, there is an exciting sprint competition.
The Mirabaud Classic covers 6.4 km with a challenging 180-degree turn halfway through the course. The racecourse runs through the city center under three bridges, requiring a lot of skill and dexterity from both the rowers and the coxswains. Another highlight is the sprint over 350 meters, which takes place on the same day – before the long-distance race.
The boats start at short intervals and are equipped with GPS transmitters. Attractive prize money is available for the podium winners in the six categories.

Moreover: In addition to the prize money, all participants will receive a finisher gadget. Alongside the main categories, additional rankings for club teams and nation standings will be created. Furthermore, the best club in the Trinational Region Basel will be awarded.
Good to know
- The number of participants is limited to 100 eight boats
- Registrations will be considered based on the date of receipt
- Only stern-steered eight boats are allowed
- The starting order and time intervals of the boats will be determined after the registration deadline
- This is an extremely challenging racecourse, which only experienced coxswains are allowed to manage. Video Coxing Rules
