Sharing of boats and/or coxswains
The race-schedule is very tight due to closure of the river for other imbarcations. Thus, double-use of boats or coxswains by different crews (even in different categories) is not possible.
Boat rental
For crews interested in renting a boat for the race, we recommend contacting our partner Empacher.
Collective transport
We offer financial aid for collective transport in following cases:
- Boats of at least two participating clubs are transported on a trailer (composite crews are allocated to the club with the most participating rowers of that crew)
- The distance (shortest route on google maps) to Basel is further than 300 km.
Please apply here: Collective transport application form
Starting order
The provisory start list will be published on the website a few days before the race. Whenever possible, the starting order is based on results of previous editions (fastest crews start first).
Entries/crew changes
To enter your crews for the BaselHead, you need to create an account on the registration tool “Regasoft” following this link: https://regasoft.swissrowing.ch/portal/Identity/Account/Register?returnUrl=%2Fportal%2FRegatta
Please enter your crews early, as the race is limited to 100 boats. If you don’t know the names of the athletes who will be competing, just fill in the form without the names. Doing so, you can secure a starting spot for your team as early as possible. You can change the crew names on Regasoft until the entries deadline on Friday October 25th 2024.
Training
On Friday, training is permitted from 12am to 5pm (latest push-off 4pm). All crews must have a white position light.
On Saturday, training is permitted from 10-12am.
Coxswains
Coxswains need to be prepared for the race, as the course is technically demanding. Please read the race regulations carefully.
Party
Due to vandalism of some teams after previous editions, the BaselHead organising committee does no longer organise an “after-party”. Basel has a wide range of bars, restaurants and nightclubs!
